Where Tradition Meets Conservation in Alabama’s Black Belt
Safety is paramount at Cobb’s Crossing. Every member must adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable hunting experience for all.
At Cobb’s Crossing Hunting Club, safety is paramount. Every member must adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable hunting experience for all. Ethical hunting is more than simply following the law—it’s about respecting wildlife, fellow hunters, and the broader community.
Take only shots within your effective range that ensure a quick, humane harvest. Pass on marginal opportunities and wait for clean, ethical shots that demonstrate respect for the animal and our hunting heritage.
Alabama law requires hunters to wear hunter orange during firearm deer seasons. Members must comply with all state regulations regarding blaze orange visibility to prevent accidents and ensure safety for all hunters in the field.
Tree stand accidents are among the most common hunting injuries. All members using elevated stands must wear a full-body safety harness at all times when off the ground.
Inspect stands before each use and never exceed weight limits.
Cobb’s Crossing has practiced Quality Deer Management for over 15 years, managing our 4,800-acre property to produce healthier deer herds and maintain ecological balance. QDM is not just about growing bigger bucks—it’s about responsible stewardship of our wildlife and habitat for future generations.
Our conservation efforts include maintaining 32+ food plots, implementing selective harvest strategies, conducting annual population surveys, and protecting critical wildlife corridors. Every member plays a role in habitat stewardship through ethical hunting practices and active land management.
